Strategic Direction

Creating a Company Strategic Direction is ambiguous, complex and is not done very often which is what makes it so difficult.

It is often tagged on to the annual budget setting process which is completely the wrong time and place to do it as the thought processes and personnel required to do the two activities are different.

Strategy requires creativity and analysis and is about leadership; budgeting is about short term management planning.

There are a number of tools available to help with the thinking processes; some of them very useful dependant on the company size, maturity and economic circumstances and degrees of freedom to change. These tools are phase two of a strategic change initiative.

The first phase is an honest and firm questioning of what the guiding vision is from the company leadership. If there is no leadership or guiding vision then contact us on 07970 420 352
